Sevilla have made a name for themselves in recent years by winning the Europa League trophy on several occasions. Now all eyes will be on them to see if they can upset the odds by defeating an in-form Bayern Munich team and progressing in the Champions League. Sevilla, of course, knocked out Manchester United in the previous round.
Bayern Munich eased past Besiktas in the last sixteen with an aggregate victory of 8-1. Bayern have made it to the semi-finals of the Champions League in five of the last six seasons.
The form book doesn't look good for Sevilla, though. They have only won one of their last five home games, losing to Valencia and going down 5-2 at home at Atletico Madrid. Last weekend, Sevilla had a two-goal lead over Barcelona until Messi was introduced and brought it back to 2-2 in the dying minutes of the game.
Bayern Munich lost their last away game, 2-1 at RB Leipzig in the Bundesliga. Before that, they had won their previous 9 away games in a row.

Along with the Sevilla v Bayern tie, the Barcelona v Roma matchup appears to be the most one-sided of the quarter-finals. Barcelona are hot favourites here and there is no way I would bet against them. They have surprised everyone with their level of performance and consistency this season and are still undefeated after 30 La Liga games. Messi was rested for the Sevilla game at the weekend but Barcelona needed to call upon him for the final stages of the game. After he came on he scored one and created the other as Barcelona came back from 2-0 down to draw 2-2. Messi has been in the form of his life this season and I expect him to continue to take the Champions League by storm, starting with Roma on Wednesday night.

One thing this game should guarantee is goals. City are slight favourites for the win but it's hard to bet against Liverpool on any European night at Anfield. Neither Klopp nor Guardiola has ever been known to set up their teams in the hope of snatching a draw. With Emre Can and Joel Matip reportedly injured it means that City could have an easier night than anticipated. De Bruyne and Silva will pull the strings from midfield unless Jordan Henderson can regain some of his 2013/14 form. The atmosphere is bound to be incredible and I think a score draw is a very likely result.
