Football betting tips for the weekend - Liverpool to win comfortably

2019-12-13 14:14:30

The English Premier League is in full flow this weekend. There are six EPL games on Saturday, three on Sunday and one on Monday night.

It's top against bottom in the early game as Liverpool welcome Watford, and new manager Nigel Pearson, to Anfield. Coincidentally, it's also the same day that second-placed Leicester City are at home to second-from-bottom Norwich. Two big home wins, surely?

Premier League Betting Tips

Liverpool Vs Watford
12:30, UK time
Premier League

Liverpool have won six of the last seven meetings with Watford, drawing the other one. The last three wins give The Reds an aggregate score of 13-0. Nigel Pearson knows he has a lot of work to do but Anfield is not the ideal place for any manager's first game in charge of a new club. Liverpool have won 5-0 in the last two fixtures at home to Watford. The Merseyside club will also be buoyed with the news of Jurgen Klopp's contract extension, keeping the German at the club until 2024 at least.

My pick for this game is Liverpool -2. This is available at 6/5 right now with bet365.

Leicester City Vs Norwich City
15:00, UK time
Premier League

Norwich's last 11 games have resulted in one win, two draws and eight defeats for The Canaries. Daniel Farke's side is currently 19th in the league, with just Watford below them.

In contrast, Leicester City are flying high under Brendan Rodgers and look like they may be the only team to keep within touching distance of Liverpool at the top. The Foxes have now won 8 consecutive league games and will be expected to add a comfortable 9th victory to that run on Saturday.

My pick for this game is a combination bet of Jamie Vardy to score anytime and Leicester to lead at half-time and full-time. This can be done through bet365's bet builder function and is priced at 5/4!

Southampton Vs West Ham United
17:30, UK time
Premier League

Southampton have been trying their hardest to get out of the dreaded relegation zone. They've won their last two home games and I think they will do well here against a struggling West Ham United.

The game may be too close to call for a result so that's why I'm sticking with the goals market in this one.

My pick for this game is both teams to score and over 2.5 goals in the game. It's 11/10 with BetRegal now!
